Week 5

There's that CUTE foot sneaking out of the swaddle again!

Week 5 started the "Why isn't he pooping?" week. His blessing was rapidly approaching and Friday night, we realized it had been a good week since he pooped. I knew if we didn't get him pooping, the first thing he'd do in his beautiful white blessing outfit, was have a BLOW-OUT! So, my mom and I decided to give him a little suppository. MINUTES later, a weeks worth of poop came flying out filling at least 4 diapers. I can't remember feeling so happy. We noticed, through all this, his herniated belly button seemed really BAD and it stressed us out. We later had a good friend check him over and refer him to a surgeon for a consultation. A couple days before our appointment, I called and made an appointment with my pediatrician. I wanted his opinion on surgery before I went to the surgeon. Turns out, it's FINE, his 1x a week pooping is FINE, and he is a healthy boy weighing a whopping 11.5 lbs! So, ANYWAY, back to week 5. We spent the week doing the same old...but the weekend brought family {for the blessing} So, we spent a lot of time with the Mathew's cousins, and none of them had met Harvey yet. They gave him a lot of attention and it was really fun.
