The blessing of Harvey Dean Mathews

Harvey Dean Mathews

Your daddy blessed you on November 7, 2010

He began by giving you a name
And telling Heavenly father how grateful he is for you and your sisters
He blessed you to have all you stand in need of
And to have a desire to know and love your Savior, Jesus Christ
He blessed you to get to know Him through scripture study and prayer, and to develop a relationship with Jesus and your Heavenly Father.
And that as you do so, your testimony will grow.
He blessed you to show your love to Them through service and obedience.
He blessed you to look to your family for examples.
To obey the commandments and that by doing so, you'll be blessed.
He blessed you mentally and physically.
And with a desire to enter and keep covenants.
First baptism and lastly eternal marriage.
He blessed you to have a love for your mother.
And a love for your sisters, who love you so much and to always have a good relationship with them.
He blessed you with a desire to serve.
And to be a good friend and example to others.
He ended by thanking Father in Heaven for you and your spirit in our home.

That's so awesome that you have his blessing written for him. Did you just remember all of this or did you or someone write it down while RJ was talking? I really wish I would have done something like that with my kids...of course, the memories of what was said have long gone. You look FABULOUS, Rach!
