Swiss Days in Midway

 (September 2 and 3}
We went up to Midway for the girls to perform with their violin group, Strings of Dixie, at Swiss Days. We headed up Friday afternoon, and spent the evening and night in a condo in Park City with Trent, Andi, Belle, and Bo. The kids were fast friends {especially Belle and JoJo} and they had a lot of fun together. And we had fun visiting with Trent and Andi, seems like forever since we've done that.

 The girls warming up before the show. This was Makayla's very first performance. She's been taking lessons since the first of August.

 Abbey performed in 6 pieces. She was the youngest one in this number above "Dueling Banjos" She did great. She's starting to get the hang of performing and is starting to show a little personality up there on stage.

 Here's Abbey and Jo in the rest of the performances. Makayla played in 4 pieces. She loved every minute of it. I was so proud of both my girls.

Stings of Dixie

 The girls had a lot of support at the show. We were sooo excited to see Kyle, Megs, Izzy, and LuLu there. Also, Gramz and Papa, Grammy Great, Lee, Monika and family, Britny and kids, Aunt Sally and Uncle Terry {Papa's brother}. We have a lot of family up North, and they made the trip to Midway to see the girls, they felt very special. It meant a lot to us.

My two little performers.

Midway's Swiss Days was quite the experience. It is a HUGE "to do". There was A TON of people there. We got to perform two times. The girls got vouchers for free lunch after the first performance and then vouchers for a dessert after the second performance. They thought that was pretty great. The whole Swiss Days is run by the wards of the LDS church up in Midway, all volunteer and the money goes to help the missionaries. It was pretty spectacular.
