2 months

TWO months!

{written December 10}
He is FINALLY starting to smile and it is the sweetest thing. We love when we get those smiles. He seems to still be struggling to focus on us though. My mom said to get used to it, he's a boy...they're SLOW :) He is still pooping ever 4-5 days, but does that pretty consistantly and all on his own, so that doesn't concern me much anymore. The week before we hit the 2 month mark, Harvey turned into a complete "nightmare baby" He screamed from 8 pm until about 2 pm for 3 nights in a row. We were bracing ourselves for the realization that we were going to be dealing with this for the next few months at least. Some nights I lay there in complete exhaustion looking at my sweet baby {screaming his head off} and wondered if I could do it. We were exhausted, RJ and I would take turns until we were about to lose our minds, then we'd switch. Once we got him down {about 2 AM} He would sleep until 5:30 or 6:00, so we got a little stretch of good sleep, thank goodness! Then the day before his 2 month check he flipped a switch and become "angel baby". Honestly, it wasn't like he just got a little better, HE WAS TRANSFORMED. And a week later, is still being the sweetest, most content baby around. We don't know why, but we'll TAKE it!

He checked out at the doctors. I was convinced he was teething {and I'm still waiting for those babies to pop through} And Dr. Kaddu said that was a definite possibility. He thought he may have had a viral ear infection because of his constant congestion. Either way, his ears looked clear now and he is a healthy, HAPPY boy!

2 MONTH STATS!
12.41 lbs   69%
         23.5 in.   73%
Head   15.5inc   32%

He's a healthy boy!

The doctor seemed slightly concerned that he isn't "Tracking" us and focusing on us better at this point. {which of course, makes me feel more nervous about it} He said to keep working with him and call in a month if he hasn't improved. So, RJ and I are constantly talking to him and trying to get his attention. Then, just last night, {Dec. 9} We started clapping loudly by the side of his head to see if we'd get a response...and NOTHING. It seems that his hearing may not be up to snuff. So, I'm praying that we get whatever it is worked out {and that I'm just being paranoid, yet again!}

So, my mom's mentioned your mom works at TLC as well. I bet you're loving that she knows so much about baby development.

However, I'm still not sure though if all that info would make me more paranoid or relieved {my mom's always remarking on this or that with the nieces or nephews.} I guess I'll find out when i finally have a kid huh?! :)
