My virtuoso violinist...

Abbey in "resting" position

Playing her first "song"
Mississippi Mud Pie

Abbey started taking violin in November
She has a darling teacher--Melissa Willard

She has learned
**The parts of the violin
**The parts of the bow
**resting position
** playing position
**String names
**How to hold the violin and bow
{we're still working on her bow hold}

And last week her first song: Mississippi Mud pie
{it is played on one single open string}

She is doing so well, and will practice with me everyday! I hope she keeps up the enthusiasm. And the best part...it gets me playing again!! I LOVE it!

I didn't know you played! I always wished I had taken violin lessons and have actually given it some thought to do now that I'm old but then I think...ahhh..I'm toooo old. That's so awesome! Go Abs!!

That is so impressive! Really. Any musical instrument intimidates me. GO Abbey!
