Christmas is coming...The girls were very excited to write their letters to Santa, last week for FHE. Abbey, as always, could go on and on for days about what she wants. Makayla is much more simple...A baby! {with a darling drawing of a baby, too} I love this time of year.
**This year, my mom asked for service for her gift. SO, today the girls and I went through all their toys and picked some that they could give away {two garbage bags full!} They did really good. Makayla had a hard time parting with most everything...but she did it! {for the most part} But Abbey really got it. I kept reminding them that their were little girls that weren't going to get many gifts for Christmas, and that these toys would go to children like that. Every time I said it Abbey would say, "MOM--you keep SAYING that!!" all annoyed. But then she see a toy and say, some little girl would like this, and throw it in the bag.

That's so cute that they were willing to part with their toys for someone else. I'm afraid if I did that, someone would just get a bunch of broken toys. We don't do toys so well here. I love that Abby wants a video camera for christmas. Is santa going to bring her one?
Cute!! Cute!!
I love it- WITH BATTERIES!!!
How cute! Abbey is such a funny little thing.
I love little kids backwards handwriting, and I love your handwriting too!
What a great idea for a gift! I remember my mom had us do something similar when we were younger! It's a great lesson!
I want a video camera for Christmas, too! We still don't have a digital camcorder, so if we get one, I would love to give our cool 90's video camera to Abs! ;) Your mom is such a sweetheart, Rach. What a great idea to help teach her kids and grandkids about the true meaning of Christmas.
I love that idea for a service present! Their Santa letters are adorable.
What fun keepsakes.
wow nice work I think its hard for them to get it until about 5 and then something clicks --but its not easy for them its really hard --I guess its like us giving our car or something
You are such a fun mommy!
