The girls both performed at SUPAF {Southern Utah Performing Arts Festival} this year. Abbey played Chorus, by Handel {a Book 2 piece} and Makayla played Twinkle Variation, by Suzuki {Mississippi stop-stop} Makayla was first and got VERY nervous, so they asked Abbey is she wanted to go instead. I felt bad because Abbey’s violin wasn’t even out and we rushed her up on the stage, but she did fabulous! I was very proud of her. She received a Superior rating {the highest rating} With a little coaxing from our fabulous accompanist, Heather Carroll, Makayla finally took the stage. She was still super nervous and mumbled through her entire introduction. But after that she held her violin high and with a beautiful bow grip, played her little heart out. She also recieved a Superior rating. I am so proud of my girls, they work very hard at the violin. Practicing isn’t always easy, and most times they’d rather be doing something else, but they do it and they work hard. They are developing a talent and it makes me so proud.
