Lagoon

{It's what FUN is...}

 We started the day off on the swings. Makayla and Isabel were INSEPARABLE. I think they have all missed each other a bit!

 These girls had so much fun with each other all weekend long!

 Bumper Cars. They all loved this ride. I love the picture of Jo and Isabel
{PURE HAPPINESS}

 The Terror ride or "Scary Ride" as Lu calls it. This is one of the FEW rides Lu would go on. She liked the Scary ride, Haunted House, and the Carousel...and that's about it! I on the other hand hated this ride. IT was a little too jumpy for me {Abbey too!}
It was fun having Kallee there with us too. She rode up with us from St. George, her family was there for the week, and then spent the next day at Lagoon with us.
It was fun to spend so much time with her!

 We LOVE the carousel. Especially Megs, all buckled up and ready to go!
{The workers were worried about the adults just as much as the kids}

 Megs took Abbey, Izzy, and Jo on some spinning dragon ride {barf!} While the rest of us relaxed for a minute.

 Waiting in line for Rattlesnake Rapids. We couldn't wait to get WET and COOL OFF!
This was the longest line we waited in all day!

 My TALL girlies. Jo was measuring about 42 inches, Abbey 48 inches
{which made her tall enough to ride ANY ride!}

 SOAKED! Jo got the most wet

 Abbey and Kyle were a close second

 More rides...
Tital Wave
{Izzy and Megan were in line to go on this with us until Izzy stuck her head through two poles on the fence and got it stuck for a minute. We pulled her out and then she got sunscreen in her eyes from crying. She was DONE and needed a little break!}
Helicopter ride
They both had fun on this ride. The workers were SO slow on the kiddie rides. It would take 10 minutes between each start! SO we finally made it on to ride the helicopter and it was all of 1 minute long! AHHHH

 Abbey wasn't super impressed with the car ride. She's getting too DANG big! Jo thought it was great!

 Love this!

 The sky coaster and the train!
I had to breathe deep to keep myself from having an anxiety attack on the sky coaster! Holy Moly we were high! RJ and Jo were in front of us {pictured} and I rode with Abbey and Kallee. I don't think I'll be doing that one again.

And LAST but certainly not LEAST, Abbey and the crew waiting in line for WICKED! Lagoon's infamous rollercoaster! I was in NO WAY going on this, but here my little 6 year old hops right on! I thought FOR SURE, she would come off bawling. NOPE. Smiling and jumping up and down. So, then I was FORCED to go with Megs, Kallee, and Abbs {again!} I thought I was going to DIE waiting in the line, and I'd say YES, it was as bad as I thought it was going to be. It goes STRAIGHT up and STRAIGHT down, and I felt like I was dropping for hours! Abbey laughed at me the whole time and called me a big CHICKEN! I screamed the entire ride, she didn't make a peep!

We had a FUN day at Lagoon. We missed the annual Mathews' Beach trip this year, due to RJ's untimely FINAL exams. We decided we'd take the kids up and stay with Kyle and Megan for the weekend and do something fun before school started. We drove up Thursday night {it was probably the longest drive to SLC in the history of traveling, but we made it!} Harvey didn't love the traveling and cried quite a bit on the way up.  IT was so fun to see the girls and Kyle and Megs. We have MISSED them so much. The girls have been counting down the days until they got to see them again! Friday we spent the day at Lagoon {Grandma and Grandpa came up with us too, and they stayed home both days to tend Harvey. So NICE!} So we could really ENJOY the time we had with the girls. We loved Lagoon. It was HOT and a bit CROWDED, but we had a great time, and the girls LOVED it. They were really brave and went on a lot of fun rides. There were lots of fun roller coasters that even Jo was tall enough to ride. Both girls loved the BAT roller coaster and Abbey LOVED Wicked {crazy lady!} We were BEAT when we got home at 7 that night. Makayla fell asleep on the drive home and didn't wake up until morning! The other three girls attempted to sleep on the trampoline under the stars. That lasted about 15 minutes, until Abbey swore she saw a stranger peaking in on them! So they came in and slept on the floor together. The rest of us stayed up late talking and catching up.

The next morning we woke up and drove down to the little pond by Kyle and Megan's house and fed the ducks. The girls thought this was pretty great. Izzy was so funny telling me what she had named them all. Then we headed to SEVEN PEAKS, and I'd say we had even MORE fun here than at Lagoon. Kyle and Megan came, along with Preston and Ashley and their fam, Tayna and her girls, my aunt Alice, and Wade and Julie and their family. It was great. The girls loved ALL the water slides, and daddy and Kyle went on all the BIG SCARY ones. IT was so funny to see Jojo come down a big slide all by herself in her tube {you could barely see her sticking out of it, it was so big!} She started off going down on daddy's lap, but after they crashed twice, we decided she was probably better off going on her own! I didn't take my camera because I knew I'd be riding the water slides too, so the only picture that was taken was one my cousin Tanya took of all the second cousins. {Hopefully I'll be getting that soon} We played hard until about 4:00 and then we headed home to relax and just let the girls play. Megs, my mom, and I went shopping for a few hours while the daddy's got all the kids to bed. Then they headed off to the movie and we girls stayed up late talking again.
It was a perfect little weekend and a perfect way to end our summer. Now we are home {and had a fabulous drive home, Harvey was an ANGEL!} and back to the reality that my baby girl is heading to FIRST GRADE! This summer just went by all too fast!
