Everything is going STRAIGHT to his mouth. His first tooth just made it's first tiny appearance today {April 4} and it's next door neighbor won't be far behind. They've been a LONG time coming, and I'm so happy they are finally cutting through the gum {the worst is over}
He had about a week of healthy after getting over RSV, before another cold/cough hit and it has been lingering for a week or so now. {doesn't seem to be too serious, just a little annoying congestion} poor guy, can't wait to have him healthy again.
He is having baby food every night before bed. He is finally getting the hang of it, no more dry heaves. And his tongue is figuring out how to work the food down too. He's had peas, sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, bananas, apples, and pears. He seems to like it all, but I think apples has been his favorite with sweet potatoes being a close second.
He is a HUNGRY boy. He nurses every 4 hours {sometimes 3} but after his last feeding of the day {around 7 or 8} he has his baby food, bath, and then 6 oz. of formula before heading off to bed. {Anywhere between 9 and 10} He sleeps WITHOUT a peep until 8:30-10:00 AM {depending on when he went to bed. He is a DREAM baby!
He has 3 naps. Two, 2 hour naps {sometimes 3 hours} and one 30-45 minute power nap in the evening. I'll be cutting that one out soon, so that bedtime can be pushed up, but it's Sooo hard to give it up. He still really NEEDS it.
He is such a happy baby. He'll just play and roll on the floor, just as happy as can be, just squawking a little when he starts to get tired, and is ready to lay down. He LOVES when the girls stop by to play with him and he ALWAYS has smiles for them. Abbey still makes him laugh {he absolutely adores her} Jo loves Harvey too and always gets "hyper face" when she comes around him. She just can't contain herself. But he thinks they are both pretty great.
He wakes up from sleeping and just coo's and talks until someone notices he's awake. He rarely wakes up crying. He gets the BIGGEST smile on his face when I walk in to get him out of his crib {he's usually rolled over onto his back, but if he hasn't when he hears me, he'll look up and then roll to his back}
He sleeps on his tummy, but he is starting to roll over to his back when I lay him down for his nap, and I'll have to go in a few times to roll him back onto his tummy. {so he can find his thumb; although I went in today and he was almost asleep--on his back with his thumb in his mouth}
He almost always goes to sleep without a peep. {rarely cries}
He reaches for his bottle when he sees it. LOVES IT!
You can't do anything with him in your arms. He grabs for EVERYTHING!
He fell out of his bumbo the other day and hit his forehead on the counter. Guess he's too big for that now. :( {Didn't even make a peep. He's tough}
He rolled off the bed at Gramz's the other day. {it's low, but still, so sad}
He still gets a little grumpy if he is in his car seat too long. And if he's tired or hungry and I put him in there, forget about it, he'll scream until he's fed! He occasionally falls asleep in his car seat {I can probably count on ONE hand how many times that's happened though}
He isn't a mama's boy yet, and is happy and content with whomever has him
He's still sporting the "deer in headlights" look and we couldn't LOVE it more
He's a mellow, sweet, HAPPY baby boy and I can't believe I've been kissing on him for 6 WHOLE months. If I could PAUSE right now, I would!
He's got cute fat creases in his arms and legs and chubby, kissable cheeks!
His eyes are still blue
LOVE you to the moon and back my Buddha baby, Mr. Magoo, Cute little tub of butter!
Harvs and Jo {hyper face}
roll upon roll...love those cheeks! {and fat little chinny chin}
He loves his toys
{Those profile pics I LOVE}
