Just a little FIT!!!

I decided that Makayla's blanket needed a little wash....she seemed to disagree. She kept pulling it out of the washer, "No, my bankie!!". "Fine, I won't wash it." Surely it could go another week. Then she walked out of the room, so I figured she was done with it. I threw the blanket in and started the washer. A few minutes later in walks Makayla. She goes straight for the laundry room. Uh oh. "My BANKIE!!!!" She screams at the top of her lungs and then attemps to pry open the washer door. How long did this last? Oh, only about 25 minutes!! (this is the honest time frame) She refused to accept another blanket, a bottle with and a snug, ANYTHING. She was absolutely freaking out for 25 straight minutes! I finally got her calmed down by sitting her by our goldfish, Toby, for a little visit. Phew. Finally, a little quiet. Just when everything was looking good, Makayla grabs the fish bowl (okay mixing bowl) and pours half of the sick fish water all over herself and my floor. Then the screaming starts again. Crud. And just when I thought it was all over... I saw a bird in the back yard and rushed her out to see him. Yah! For the bird... he saved the day! (And my sanity)

Poor Makayla! I love the video tape. I love how she not only refuses your blanket, but needs to get it far away from her to make a statement. I need to video Roscoe with his tantrums more since that is what will bring back the most memories. :)

If I'm honest I must admit I'm glad my girlies aren't the only ones set in their mind sets with such STRONG opinions

Sounds familiar! My kids are addicted to their blankets too! Good save though...distractions are the key!
